When Damage occurs 

If damage was created by the young person in their rampage.

 

The priority isn’t always to patch it up back up quickly. Because patching it up may only delay it’s eventual break or it failing our yearly assessment or audits. Therefore we take a picture of the initial damage as it is at worse then we charge for it. Whatever can be internally fixed we fix it and whatever needs to be replaced we replace it.

 

If we fix it the local authority will not pay for it and if it then breaks completely in the future because it was damaged when that young person isn’t with us or the event has passed then it would be us that has to pay for that which for fire doors can be up to 2k. Which is a lot of money as specialists needs to install them.

If accidental damage is done by a young person, then please try your best to fix it internally after pictures of the initial damage have been taken. If the damage is intentional, then please take pictures of the damage in full so as we can send them to the local authority along with the invoice for repairs.
